Window Tinting

A new service we are offering here at Groovy Detailing, window tinting. As well as offering detailing, ceramic coatings and PPF we are expanding our arsenal and offering window tinting. Currently we are only able to tint rear windows and will not be offering any sort of chameleon windscreen tints etc. All tinting is carried out at our unit in Rhyl, North Wales.

The UK Laws on Window Tinting

Rear Windows

In the UK, you can legally tint the rear windows (rear doors and rear windscreen) as dark as you like.

Front Windows

The front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% of light through.

Factory-fitted windows are already tinted and by adding additional tint, this may result in your vehicle no longer being compliant for road use. Please make sure you follow the requirements set out here - https://www.gov.uk/tinted-vehicle-window-rules - to ensure you are not breaking the law.
